About

Ex Libris is the Latin expression that literally means “from the Books of”.

The name of this building does not deny the tradition of this street, which connects Praça Luís de Camões to Largo Trindade Coelho, in Chiado, already communicating with the typical Bairro Alto.

Literary and journalistic activity has always been a strength of this artery and the Ex Libris building is proof of that, having been the headquarters of O Diário Ilustrado, closed in 1963, and home to Livraria Camões.

With an excellent location, this Building is in the center of the action, where there is always something going on. At any time you can go out and walk in Chiado or even go to Avenida da Liberdade where you will find the most luxurious shops, as well as discovering that you are within walking distance of the city's trendy bars and restaurants.

With 17 apartments spread over 6 floors, Ex-Libris redefines the Premium concept in accommodation, offering T1, T2 and T3 apartments in an environment that combines sophistication, traditional and contemporary design.

Perfect for sightseeing and feeling at home, our apartments can be rented, for a short or longer period, to be alone or with friends, with friends or the whole family.

Wifi, Bed Linen and Bath Towels; Cleaning Service and Complete Kitchen.

The 17 apartments are themed, having been their starting point “from the Books of” important Portuguese authors, resulting in a building where each floor is dedicated to an author and each apartment has the name of a reference work by the author allocated to the floor.

The interior design reflects a contemporary space with traditional elements where Portuguese brands are valued as well as new national artists, with elements such as paintings by Maisa Champalimaud present in the apartments, or even an element of Urban Art present in the Lobby painted by the graphic designer and illustrator Portuguese Add Fuel that adds a contemporary touch with reference to Portuguese tiles or wooden furniture designed by the brand Cabanas.

Lisbon is in fashion and nothing better than staying in a space carefully designed and decorated, unique, located in the heart of the city, offering you an absolutely memorable experience.
